Cable car operator in Almere

In June 2021 and during the Floriade Expo 2022 will enjoy a spectacular 5-minute ride experience from an 850 meters long ropeway above the park. In a gondola they will travel quickly between the southern and northern part of the Floriade park. Just imagine the fantastic bird’s eye view you will have of the unique rectangular sections of the grounds, the arboretum enriched with trees, plants, shrubs and flower borders, the expo plots for the international exhibits and all other places of interest. The ropeway also offers a unique opportunity to showcase the potential for sustainable use of urban cable cars.

Wat ga je doen?

Job Description

  • Monitor the cable car during operation and performs minor troubleshooting, such as identifying alarms and
    resetting faults.
  • Providing passenger information in regard to the system operation and ensure that it is operating and fulfilling
    safety regulations.
  • Monitor the system from the platform and the control room.
  • Perform daily operational inspections.
  • Participate in the daily upkeep of the system.
  • Follow all Company issued operational protocols in order to ensure the safety of all guests and personnel.
  • Assist in the resolution of operational disturbances.
  • Assist in emergency evacuation procedures.

Requirements

  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Fast thinking to react quickly and appropriately to situations.
  • Willingness to assist in maintenance works, cleaning and checks.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills English and Dutch.
  • Able to maintain and record system and operational information.
