Are you ready for an all-round accountant role within an international company in the field of logistics?

The Senior Accountant is responsible for the customs, VAT, fixed assets, intercompany process including reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining general ledger and preparing month-end close procedures. A successful Senior Accountant combines excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial reports and forecasts. The duties of a Senior Accountant also include ensuring accuracy and effectiveness in all of our accounting tasks.

Main tasks and responsibilities

Operational tasks:

• Closing of Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and General ledger administration;
• Responsible for customs administration;
• Responsible for VAT administration;
• Responsible for fixed assets administration;
• Authorization of bank payments;
• Responsible for Petty Cash.

External responsibilities (clients and partners):

• Investigating and solving (internal) disputes on Intercompany AP/AR invoices;
• Contact with Tax authorities. 

Internal responsibilities (local and regional):

• On time payment or collecting from IC offices;
• Check payments to and from our IC offices with our administration;
• Clean and update sub ledger AR and AP for IC offices;
• On time registration of payments and receivables including IC offices in our administration;
• Keep in contact with IC office by e-mail and telephone;
• Book payments and receivables including IC offices in our administration;
• Coaching of Junior Accounting Employees.
